UPDATE JULY 2025
God is Still on His Throne!
Recently, we spent a week in Springfield, MO, at the Assemblies of God Missions Emphasis. It was a time of renewal, training, and encouragement. We heard amazing stories of what God is doing around the world. Lives are changing, and people are coming to know Christ!
Our Missions leader, John Easter, has challenged us to do more, especially since some mainline denominations are cutting back on their missions programs. So, don’t give up! There’s a lot of work to be done, and the need for more missionaries and senders is greater than ever! We believe that a global harvest, like never before, is coming, and God is getting His church ready to see and be a part of this amazing outpouring of souls coming into His kingdom.
This past week alone, over 101 new Assemblies of God missionaries signed up to serve in 34 countries around the world. And God is calling our sons and daughters to come back to the field and help expand the workforce for His kingdom.
With all the sin and chaos around us, it’s clear that the Day of the Lord is coming soon. These signs might be scary, but they also remind us that now is not the time to give up or relax in our work for the Lord. Whether you’re going, praying, sending, supporting, or serving, your role is important. We can’t do our mission without your help, both financially and through prayer.
As the Bible says, the enemy comes like a flood, but it also says that God will fight against him. We have to stay strong and keep going, because our Lord and Savior is with us. He protects the weak, finds the lost, and wants to save those who need Jesus.
Recently, on a flight, I (Becky) met my seat mate. She was a former Mormon. I asked her if she’d like to share her experience with me, and for two and a half hours, she poured out her heart about the heartbreaking realities of that faith. She talked about how it had often used and abused its followers in the name of spirituality. She revealed deep secrets and explained how she and her family had been living in that cult for many generations.
Finally, her eyes were opened to the deception she had been living under. I knew then that she no longer wanted to be a part of that faith. So, I pointed her to the truth found in the Bible—to Jesus’ unwavering love for her. I made sure she understood that Jesus is THE way, THE truth, and THE life, and that salvation comes solely through Him. She was told that the Mormon church card she once kept in her wallet gave her that right.
God is still moving mightily, and every soul that turns to Jesus is a testament to His power and grace. We continue to see His hand at work, even in the darkest of places, and we are so grateful for the privilege of being part of His great harvest.
Hold on tight, folks! This isn’t the time to give up or slow down. Our lives, our finances, our prayers, and our obedience are more important than ever. As the Day approaches, let’s push ourselves harder and encourage each other more than ever. Let’s give more, send more, obey more, and finish our race. We’ve got this!
Together, let’s stand strong and keep our eyes fixed on the hope and promise of His return.

May God richly bless you and the US church as you look to your mission field next door, around your district, and reaching into all the world until all have heard the good news of Jesus Christ and His saving grace.
